65th Annual Dogwood Festival

Spring In-Water Boat Show at Dog Days

Spring Big Bass Bash


The Big Bass Bash is a bass tournament designed for amateurs only. Its unique format allows the weekend angler a chance to win big money like the professionals. Unlike most fishing tournaments which have a team arrangement where prizes are based on total weight, the Big Bass Bash format is distinctive in that it only takes one fisherman and just one big bass to win. Support Special Olympics with the Polar Plunge on February 22nd!

The weather is warming up just in time for the 2014 Lake of the Ozarks Polar Plunge!!  Run, Jump, Dive or Dip into the icy waters of Lake of the Ozarks on February 22nd and you can help raise money for the Missouri Special Olympics! The event will take place at the Lake of the Ozarks Public Beach #2!!

This event is like no other and is worth braving the cold to witness the energy of the plungers, organizers and fans!  The event raises money when each plunging participant collects donations and pledges from friends/family/co-workers to commit to plunge into the cold water.  The event has brought more than 600 plungers in recent years and raised more than $200,000.

Participants and teams are encouraged to dress up in fun, wacky costumes or themes to entertain viewers and can even win a prize for the most creative.  If you're not sure about taking the dive, you can still participate by donating online, financially support a plunger or coming out to cheer them on as they brave the cold!! 

Here is the schedule of Events for the Day:
  • Registration - 12:00pm-2:00pm
  • Parade Lineup for Judging - 1:50pm
  • Parade of Costumes - 2:00 pm
  • Announcements & Plungers' Oath - 2:15pm
  • Polar Plunge Begins 2:30 pm 
  • Post-Plunge Party at Tan-Tar-A Resort 4:00pm-7:00pm

Do you have your Holiday Lights up yet??  If not, you can still enjoy the twinkle of the Holiday lights without all the work!!  The Lake of the Ozarks has some amazing light displays that will be open through the end of the year.  Many of these displays are free of charge but accept donations to help with the expense.  These displays are perfect for kids of all ages - so enjoy them while you can!

The Lake of the Ozarks Air Show is this Weekend!!

The Lake of the Ozark Air Show is this weekend Saturday, September 21st!! This air show is an exciting event held at the Camdenton Memorial Airport that will salute our Military.   Spectators will be awed by the returning acts by Team Vortex Air Show, the Ping Pong Ball Drop, KC Flight Formation Team, and the Flash Fire Truck. Some of the new events will be a P-51 Mustang Fighter, TBM-3E Avenger Torpedo Bomber, AC-47 "Spooky" Gunship and the Erik Edgren Airshow.

Make-A-Wish PowerBoat Rides offer Smiles for Children!!!

This Thursday, August 22nd, will be one of the BEST events during the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout... The Make-a-Wish Foundations' Wishing on a Ride Event!!!   Race boat drivers donate their boats and time to offer children with life-threatening illnesses an opportunity to ride in the FAST boats!!!

The event will take place from noon – 4 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22 at Captain Ron’s Dock No. 3. For more information, or to participate in the Wishing on a Ride event, call Tiffany Riemann at 573-368-1177.

The Lake of the Ozarks Aquapalooza is this Weekend!!

Are you looking for a GREAT Family Friendly Event at Lake of the Ozarks?  Well, look no further because Aquapalooza returns to the Lake this weekend!!  This boating event is a celebration of the boating lifestyle and features the largest on-water concert at the Lake of the Ozarks!!

Thousands of people will come to this event by water on the 19mm or by land just off Jeffries Road in Osage Beach, MO.  The event is July 20th from noon to 5pm and will be held at Dog Days Bar & Grill! There will be a free concert with 4 great bands -  Nic Cowan, the Brian Collins Band, The Devonshires and  Rock Paper Scissors.
