4 Reasons to Vacation at Lake of the Ozarks

If you've been on vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks before, then you're already aware of the great things this area has to offer. Some of our previous blogs offer ideas for top attractions at Lake of the Ozarks. If you've never been here before though, then this blog is for you! Here are 4 great reasons to vacation here at our beautiful lake:

1. Save Money by Staying Close to Home.

For those of you living in Missouri or the surrounding states of Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas, the Lake of the Ozarks is a great place to getaway without spending a ton of money. You don't have to pay for a flight or transportation once you get there. And while it is a popular tourist destination, the prices of things aren't inflated like they are at Disney World, Las Vegas and Hollywood. Plus, less travel time means more time to enjoy your vacation!

2. The Central Location is the Perfect Meeting Place.

The Lake of the Ozarks is located almost equal distance between Missouri's two largest cities: Kansas City and St. Louis. Since Missouri is one of the central most states, it makes it an easy meeting place for families that are spread out across the country. Families or friends that live on opposite coasts can meet in the middle and spare one party from driving all the way across the country.

3. Enjoy Fun in the Sun on the Water.

On a hot summer day in the Midwest, there's no better place to be than on the water. The Lake of the Ozarks offers plenty of fun in the sun without having to fly or drive all the way to the coast. If you don't have a boat of your own, there are plenty of rental places to hook you up. From water skiing and tubing to swimming and jet skiing, there's no shortage of water sports here at the Lake.

4. There's More to Lake of the Ozarks than Just Water Attractions.

The Lake of the Ozarks is a year-round destination! From shopping to golf, we have something for everyone in the family to enjoy. The Bagnell Dam Strip has always been a popular attraction, featuring locally owned shops and more. You can get your picture taken at the old time photos, play some games, buy souvenirs and lake attire, and even grab a bite to eat or something to drink!

Now that you have your heart set on coming to the Lake of the Ozarks for your vacation, it's time to book your reservations! Our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront resort is the perfect place to stay. Whether you're on a weekend getaway with that special someone or a week long vacation with the family, we have several room options to choose from.
