Enjoy a Picnic this July for National Picnic Month

July is National Picnic Month and the Lake of the Ozarks has a ton of great spots to enjoy a picnic with your family. If you're planning a family vacation to the Lake of the Ozarks this month, we think you may want to see this list of ideas to get out and have a fun picnic with your family. It's fun to eat out and experience new restaurants on vacation, but that can get pretty expensive. Pack an old fashion picnic and soak in the great outdoors for a meal with your family while on vacation. It's a fun way to experience something new and spend quality time with your loved ones. Don't forget, our family-friendly resort in Osage Beach is a great location for one of your picnics during your stay!

Celebrate National Picnic Month

Celebrating National Picnic Month is as simple as it sounds - just grab some food and head outside for a meal! Bring your favorite foods that can be eaten cold or get some food that can be prepared in the BBQ grill area at our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront resort. Enjoy your picnic meal right here on-site and take in the beautiful view of the water or pack up and take it elsewhere. There are plenty of great places at the Lake of the Ozarks to host a picnic. The Lake area boasts some great outdoor areas for gathering and enjoying a picnic meal with family and friends.

Great Picnic Spots at the Lake of the Ozarks:
Ha Ha Tonka State Park - Located in Camdenton, the state park has a number of great picnic spots, as well as hiking trails for your family to enjoy. There's a ton of scenic and historic locations throughout the park, as well. Castle ruins, caves, springs, and water create a beautiful and adventurous place for the family to experience.

Bridal Cave - Located in Camdenton, this beautiful cave is a great place to cool off during the summer heat. The cave is a refreshing 60 degrees and guided tours create an educational and fun experience for your family. There are a few different picnic areas around the cave -- perfect for a summer meal!

Lake of the Ozarks State Park Recreational Area - Located in Osage Beach, only minutes from our resort, the State Park offers a few different picnic areas, as well as playgrounds for the kiddos to enjoy. There's lake access at the park, as well. Cast a line, play on the swingsets, and enjoy a yummy picnic with your family.

Willmore Lodge - Located in Lake Ozark, Willmore Lodge offers a fantastic historical experience. A museum is located at the lodge and a gazebo is located down on the water, great for a family picnic!

Bagnell Dam Scenic Overlook - Located in Lake Ozark, the scenic overlook gives you a bird's eye view of the Bagnell Dam. There are also some picnic tables and covered shelters making a great spot for a picnic with the family.

Lake of the Ozarks State Park - Located in Kaiser, the other side of the State Park offers just as much fun as the Osage Beach location. Swimming, fishing, playgrounds, and picnic spots are found all around the park. It's a fun place to spend time with your loved ones enjoying the great outdoors and a scrumptious meal together.

Our Lake of the Ozarks resort is another fantastic picnic spot! Our guests have access to grills if you're wanting to enjoy a bbq picnic.
