Memorial Day Weekend

Although your favorite waterfront resort at the Lake of the Ozarks opens mid-March, Memorial Day Weekend is really the kick-off to our rental season. The weather is getting warm enough to get out on the Lake and the kids have just finished up school. That last weekend in May is the perfect time to hit the Lake of the Ozarks. Last year, there were plenty of family-friendly activities happening all over the Lake including the annual fireworks displays! When making your plans for 2017, consider joining us for Memorial Day Weekend!

The Best Golf in the Midwest

Many of our Lake of the Ozarks resort guests love to play golf! Late spring and early summer is the perfect time to play a round here at the Lake. The weather is getting warmer and the area isn't crowded with the summer guests yet. The Lake of the Ozarks area is home to more than a dozen spectacular golf courses. In addition, you'll find a variety of charity golf tournaments happening all throughout the spring, summer and fall seasons. Book your 2017 golf trip today and stay with us!

Lake Race Powerboat Races

One of the biggest annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks, Lake Race 2016, took place June 3-5. The event featured a meet & greet on the strip, a 5K Run/Walk and a poker run in addition to the big powerboat races. Each year the event gets bigger and better and we can't wait to see what the 2017 events has to offer! Mark your calendars for June 1-4, 2017 and book your reservations at Summerset Inn Resort!

An annual favorite at the Lake of the Ozarks is the Canine Cannonball! How far can your dog jump? The contest takes place at Dog Days Bar & Grill, which is in walking distance from our Lake of the Ozarks resort! Every year, in mid-June, canine athletes compete in Big Air, Extreme Vertical and Speed Retrieve at this FREE, family-friendly event!

4th of July Weekend

Arguably one of the most popular weekends to visit the Lake of the Ozarks is July 4th Weekend! There are so many events and activities happening all over the Lake, you're sure to find something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Aside from hitting the water for a day of boating, 4th of July weekend is filled with BBQs, live music, fireworks and more! Aquapalooza Concert on the Water

If you love live music and being on the water, then this event is for you! Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Boat Races

The largest unsanctioned boat races in the U.S. take place right here on our Lake each August! This is definitely one of the most anticipated events of the year, and features over a week of fabulous family-fun events leading up to the actual races. Walk around the vendor villages and watch the races on the jumbotron, or hit the water in your boat and tie up in a line to watch the races live and in-person! This is another highly popular weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks, so be sure to make your reservations early.

Fishing at Lake of the Ozarks

Another popular activity for our guests is fishing! The Lake of the Ozarks area has great conditions for fishing practically all year round. There are a variety of fishing tournaments happening all season long, with some favorites occurring late summer and early fall. If you like to fish, then Summerset Inn Resort is a great option for your Lake of the Ozarks accommodations

Labor Day Weekend

Bringing the summer season to a close, Labor Day Weekend is one of the last chances to get away at the Lake of the Ozarks while the weather is still warm. (Although this year, we're experiencing some surprisingly warm temperatures this fall.) This end-of-summer holiday weekend always features great live music and of course some brilliant fireworks displays! Just like Memorial Day Weekend, this first weekend in September is always a great choice for a Lake of the Ozarks vacation!

While these may be some popular weekends for many to vacation at the Lake, the area is great all year-round. There's always something for people of all ages to enjoy - and even during inclement weather you can find things to do, like explore one of America's most scenic caves at Bridal Cave! Now's the time to start thinking about your 2017 vacation plans and book your reservations at the best resort at the Lake of the Ozarks, Summerset Inn!
