5th Annual 2 Dam Days Paddle Marathon

The 2 Dam Days Paddle Marathon is back at the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks for 2014!  Don't miss this challenging event this weekend, October 4 & 5.  With a total of four races, there's something for everyone.  If racing is not your thing, then come on out to cheer the competitors on. Make this weekend a vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks while the beautiful weather is still here!

Extreme Races

The Extremes Races have a guaranteed purse of over $14000 in prize money if all divisions are filled and if the marathon record is broken. The best overall time within "The Extreme Races" will win $500 plus! Beat the course record currently held by Mike Herbert and take home an additional $1500!  If you can race only one of the days, you will still be eligible for a share of the purse for that day.

Shorter Races

If paddling dam to dam in two days doesn't turn you on, not to worry!  LOWA's 2 Dam Days Paddle Marathon includes a race to meet every taste.

Sweet 16

A little bit of a challenge for those who want a taste of the lake. This was a new race in 2013 and replaced the 12.5 mile "Just4Fun" race held in 2010, 2011, and 2012. The starting point was also changed but, as with all the races, the finish point on Saturday is still Captain Ron's at the 34.5 mile mark.

Anything Goes Sprint

The notion of paddling almost 100 miles in two days sounds a bit extreme to most people.  So if you would rather paddle around and just have fun on a Saturday afternoon, or if you would prefer to show your speed in a sprint as opposed to an endurance contest, then the 3.5 mile Anything Goes Sprint is the race for you.
  • 3.5 Miles
  • Saturday
  • Start at 38 MM (Bear Bottom Resort)
  • Special Prize (no cash awards)
