June 3, 2014-Tuesday-6pm----Lake Race Volunteer Party at Beavers at the Dam.
All Lake Race volunteers are encouraged to enjoy complimentary appetizers, get their Lake Race volunteer t shirts and visit with their team leader for race weekend assignments.

June 4, 2014-Wednesday-5-8pm-Lake Race Pontoon Party Sponsored by Playcraft Pontoons and
Iguana Water Sports. Enjoy complimentary appetizers, cash bar and hear plans for the second Lake Race Pontoon Race. See new model pontoon boats, new water sport toys and all the fun new products available around the lake this season.

June 5, 2014-Thursday -- Lake Race Firefighters Fun Run- Departing from H.Toads in the morning, visiting all the waterfront participating restaurants and bars between the "0" mile marker and the 31mm.  After Fun Run Party starts 6pm at The Topsider.
Lake Race VIP sponsor and Racer Welcome starts 7pm at The Topsider.

June 6, 2014-Friday-11am-The Historic Bagnell Dam Strip closes for traffic, and Racer Village builds.
Vendor Village set up takes place on Iguana Point.

June 7, 2014-Saturday-All roads lead to Beavers at the Dam Bar and Grill as Headquarters for
Lake Race 2014.  Crane starts operating at 9am.  Racer testing starts at 10am.
Opening Ceremonies begin at 11:45 am.  Racing starts at 12 Noon.
Race will be produced and supplied by KRMS/93.5 Rocks and KRBK Fox TV-live.  Coverage of all racing between noon and 3pm on radio and TV.  5pm all racing concludes.
Fireworks show at 9:15 in water out from Vendor Village and Beavers – sponsored by Iguana Fireworks.  Lake Race After Parties begin in early evening-Beavers at the Dam party

Bar Hop Cruise 
Get ready for a great time as we search the lake for the best drinks & entertainment at some of the most popular waterfront bars on the Lake!  The cruise departs from H. Toad's at Camden on the Lake (Located at dock A near the pool) at 1 PM on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Cost is $30 per person, limited seating available.

OYC's Parade of Lights 

Join in the Annual Parade of Lights on Saturday, May 24, 2014 to celebrate Memorial Day! Power and sail boats are welcome to participate in the parade commemorating U.S. men and women who served their country. Participants will assemble at OYC in Jennings Branch Cove(1MM). Departure will begin at 8:30pm, proceeding along Bagnell Dam in front of Willmore Lodge continuing west 2 miles. We will return along the south side of the lake back to OYC. Following the parade, awards will be given for Best Decorated and First-Runner Up. We encourage creativity to design an impressive light display. Contact OYC Ship Shop for assistance in ordering lighting supplies or to customize a display for your boat. REhydrate Pool Party 
One of the wildest pool parties in the Midwest will be invading Lake of the Ozarks this Summer! Drive on Down to the Lake of the Ozarks for the Magic Dragon Street Meet!

The 2014 Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals festivities begin tomorrow! Jump in your car and head to the Lake of the Ozarks for a legendary event!  Summerset Inn will provide you with a family-friendly place to stay while you're here so you can enjoy all the fun and sleep easy.  Bring your old car down for the show or just bring the kids to admire the vehicles that will be lining the Bagnell Dam Strip this weekend!

Magic Dragon Registration 

Get out that old car sitting in storage and bring it to the Lake of the Ozarks for Central Missouri's largest car show!  Registration starts Thursday, May 1st at Noon at the Willmore Lodge.  May 3rd at 4 PM is the last time to register for judging.

Cars from all over will come together to compete for the grand prize of the Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals.  Professional judging is back this year and includes bigger trophies and many more classes! Be sure to complete the judging section on your registration form and inlcude an additional $5 judging fee with your payment.  The last day to register for judging as mentioned above is May 3rd by 4 PM.

Lake of the Ozarks Easter Events this Weekend!

Easter Egg Hunts

Easter Egg Hunt in Camdention - April 19 
Children up to 12 years old can venture on a quest to find more than 2000 candy and prize filled Easter eggs.  Children can also enjoy cotton candy, a photo booth, face painting, balloons and visits with Sparkie da Clown.  The event will run from 1 to 3 pm with the Easter egg hunt starting at 1:30 pm.

Easter Egg Hunt in Macks Creek - April 19 
Mother Nature's Riverfront Retreat is hosting an Easter egg hunt that will include Easter bunny visits, games, prizes, food, petting zoo, bounce houses, cupcake walk, arts and crafts vendor, and much more.  Gates open at 1:30 pm and the egg hunt starts at 3 pm.

Adult Easter Egg Hunt - April 19 
Adults age 21 or older with a valid ID can head on over to Mitch and Duff's at Dogwood Hills Golf Course at 3 pm to register for the event.  The hunt for over 400 filled eggs and one Golden Easter Egg grand prize of $1,000 will begin at 4:30 pm.  Admission is $12 for early bird tickets or $15 at the door. The event is on rain or shine and food & drink specials will be available throughout the event.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Park - April 20 
Sponsored by the Eldon First Assembly of God Church, this popular event will feature free food, inflatables, games, clowns, entertainment and egg hunts!  There will be over 14,000 Easter eggs stuffed with candy and prizes.  Join the fun at the Miller County Fairgrounds from 11 am to 2 pm and admission is free!

Easter Buffet at Rafferty's at the Country Club Hotel & Spa - April 20 
Stop by the Country Club between 11 am and 3 pm to enjoy this extravagent Easter meal!  The buffet will include: freshly carved glazed pit ham, freshly carved roasted inside round of beef, smoked salmon with dill cream cheese, deviled eggs, an omelet station, biscuits & country gray, breakfast potatoes, bacon, link sausage, farm style green beans, mixed green salad, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, spring vegetable medley, cornbread muffins, mashed potatoes with turkey gravy, cream cheese blintzes with assorted fruit toppings, cheesecake, carrot cake, chocolate cake, chocolate covered strawberries and more!  Adult price is $24, kids price is $12 and children 5 & under eat free.

Tan-Tar-A Resort's Easter Day Buffet - April 20 
Enjoy a delicious Easter dinner at Tan-Tar-A between 11 am and 3 pm.  The buffet features carved glazed bone-in ham, carved prime rib with au jus and horseradish cream, chicken breast with mango pineapple salsa, salmon provencal, roasted pork loin with creamed mustard demi and much, much more! Reservations are required.

"He is Risen" Easter Pageant - April 20 
This annual Easter event is a favorite of the Lake community.  The 46th annual performance of "He is Risen" will take place from 8:30 - 9:30 am on the grounds of Kent Memorial Lutheran Church in Sunrise Beach.  Come watch over 40 performers depict the story of the Easter Resurrection with music. Admission is free!

Accommodations at Summerset Inn Resort

From one bedroom to five bedrooms, Summerset Inn has accommodations for any size group! Our different size suites are perfect for a romantic getaway or a family reunion.  Resort units are designed to make your stay enjoyable, no matter how long you are here; from efficiency units to large family rooms with up to five bedrooms. When you arrive, you'll discover one of the most family-friendly resorts at the Lake of the Ozarks!

Each kitchenette comes stocked with the following: a 4-burner electric cook top, a full-size refrigerator, an electric toaster, an electric coffee maker, dinnerware, silverware, a frying pan, 3 sauce pans, a spatula, a can opener, a pitcher and a microwave oven.  Each apartment has cable television as well as a heating and cooling unit.  Towels are furnished as follows: 1 large bath towel per person per day, 1 wash cloth per person per day, 2 hand towels per bathroom, 2 kitchen towels and 1 dish cloth per kitchen.

Towels, trash liners and toilet tissue are delivered from 11:00 am to 2:30 daily.  Items not provided that you will need to bring yourself include: personal soap, beach towels, sharp knives, barbecue utensils, coffee and coffee filters. Check-in is at 4:00 pm and you'll need to check-out by 10:30 am.  If you arrive prior to check-in time, you are more than welcome to use our amenities including the outdoor swimming pool, kiddy pool, shuffleboard and picnic area while you wait.
