ONE Weekend -- TWO Fun Events

Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals


The Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals is a unique show for all makes, models, and years of cars, trucks and motorcycles. An average of 1,000 participants and close to 10,000 spectators come out for this annual event. The show brings 30 years of show experience to the historic Bagnell Dam Strip at the Lake of the Ozarks.  This show offers an absolutely electric atmosphere! Experience the excitement for yourself when you visit the Magic Dragon Car Show this weekend.


Spring Harbor Hop

Kick off the boating season out on the water this weekend. The 22nd Annual Spring Harbor Hop is taking place on  May 4th and it's a great excuse to hit the water. Collect a handful of cards at various check-in points around the Lake of the Ozarks. 1 card can be collected from each stop and you can turn in your hand at the 7th stop. It's a fun way to visit a number of water restaurants, enjoy a day out on the water, and have a little fun while you're at it!

Book Now for Top Summer Events at the Lake

The grass is getting green and the trees are blooming! Whether we are ready or not Summer is coming and coming quickly. Before we know it, the kids will be out of school and we will be planning our weekends and getaways for the summer. Summerset Inn Resort and Villas is one of the most family-friendly resorts at the Lake of the Ozarks. We are in the heart of the Lake, so bring the whole family and make some memories. In this blog, we will cover a few family-friendly summer events to make plans for now.

Fun Events for the Whole Family


Hot Summer Nights Classic Car Cruise. Cruise down to the Bagnell Dam Strip to check out some awesome classic cars. This is a great summer fun family evening. Admission is free so come and enjoy games, entertainment, and cool cars. Since 2008 on the second Friday of the month through the summer you can expect to see the Strip full of cars, trucks, families, and fun. The schedule for 2019 is May 10th, June 14th, July 12th, August 9th and for September it will be the first Friday the 6th. Come and spend the Hot Summer Night on the Strip.

Lake Race 2019 is scheduled for May 31st and June 1st.  The race has a new venue this year. Camden on the Lake will be hosting the 7th year of the Offshore Powerboat Race at the Lake. This is an exciting family fun event watching the powerful boat's speed around on the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks.

The Canine Cannonball is always a great family event! On June 7th through June 9th come spend the weekend and watch these dogs compete in Big Air, Extreme Vertical, and Speed Retrieval competitions. Dog Days Bar & Grill will host this annual event again this year. Admission is free so bring the family and enjoy this fun time at the Lake.

Lake of the Ozarks Air Show on September 23rd will sure be a hit for the family. Come celebrate military and aviation with us at the Camdenton Memorial Lake Regional Airport. Folks of all ages will enjoy looking at all the different types of planes. Make sure to make time for the awesome air show acts. There are many vendors on site so be sure to check out Kids’ Area and the Food Court.

We're Open for the Season!

Spring is here and our family-friendly resort at the Lake of the Ozarks is officially open for the 2019 season! We're ready to kick off another fantastic summer with our friends! If you've been dreaming of a warm summer getaway all winter long, now's the time to book your stay. Summerset Inn is here for you!


We have a ton of options available for your stay this summer. Learn more about our various rental options we have for families below:

Single Apartment

Our single apartment sleeps 4 people and features 2 queen beds, a kitchenette and a bath with a shower. Please note that this unit is not waterfront.

Deluxe Cottage

Our deluxe cottage sleeps up to 6 people, and features two private bedrooms each with a queen bed. This unit also offers a hide-a-bed, a kitchenette and a bath with shower. Please note that this unit is also not waterfront.

Economy Apartment 

Our economy apartments each sleep a maximum of 6 people. They offer two small bedrooms, each with double beds. You'll also enjoy a hide-a-bed, a kitchenette and a bath with shower. There are 3 of these apartments available.

Deluxe Apartment

Each of our deluxe apartments sleep up to 6 people and feature 2 large private bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed. The apartments also come with a hide-a-bed, a kitchenette and a bath/shower combo with two vanities. There are 3 of these units available.

2 BR, 2 BA Apartment

Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment sleeps a maximum of 5 people. This lakeside king apartment features a bathroom and kitchenette, plus a bonus bedroom with a double bed and a 2nd bath. There is also a hide-a-bed in this unit.

Family Apartment 

Our family apartments sleep up to 8 people. Each one features 2 bedrooms, a daybed adjacent to the living room and a hide-a-bed. You'll also enjoy a kitchenette and a bath with a shower. There are 8 of these units available.

Villa Cottage 

This cottage style room sleeps up to 6 people and features 2 private bedrooms, each with a king bed. The unit also features a hide-a-bed, a kitchenette, a fireplace, and two bathrooms, with a whirlpool tub in the master.

Captain's Quarters

The Captain's Quarters will sleep up to 10 people and features 5 bedrooms and 3 baths! Inside you'll find 2 king beds, 2 queen beds and 2 double beds. The kitchen offers a garbage disposal, dishwasher and microwave.
