August is Family Fun Month

Each year, Family Fun Month is celebrated throughout the month of August. This is a great time to enjoy spending time with your family through fun activities.


There's no better way to strengthen your connections and family bond than taking a vacation together. Whether you've still got a week before school starts or you can only get away for a short weekend trip, spending time with your children will create lifelong memories. Here are a few ways to celebrate family fun month at Summerset Inn Resort at the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks:

1. Spend a Day on the Water. 


The Lake of the Ozarks is known as the best recreational lake in the country. Whether you have a boat to bring or need to rent one, spending a day on the water is a great way to celebrate family fun month! From cruising over to a waterfront restaurant for a meal to tubing or skiing to coving out and swimming, there's enough water activities to keep you and the kids entertained all day long. Docks are available for rent along with your room here at our waterfront resort at the Lake of the Ozarks.

August is Family Fun Month!

Just because summer is almost over, doesn't mean the fun has to stop. That's why August has been designated a Family Fun Month! What better way to celebrate family fun month than to take a last-minute summer vacation to Lake of the Ozarks? At the Lake, you will find endless opportunities for family-fun! Here are a few great ways to celebrate family fun month at the Lake of the Ozarks:

1. Visit a Waterpark. 


If you're looking for some fun that the entire family can enjoy, why not go to an amusement park or waterpark? There are activities and rides fun for all ages. Big Surf Waterpark at Lake of the Ozarks offers relaxation in the lazy river or steep slides for those thrill seekers in the family.

2. Have a Cookout. 


Who doesn't love a good old fashioned BBQ? If the kids are old enough, have them each create their very own dish to share with the family. Stay at Summerset Inn and enjoy your meal outdoors, in our BBQ grill area overlooking the Lake!

3. Play Mini Golf.
